Mexican Dreams

We had a wonderful long weekend at Dreams Tulum Mexico from July 16-July 19th. This was our first "all inclusive" experience and we loved it! Although we only spent three nights at the resort, we definitely used the time to do....well, nothing actually!! This was the first time we've ever just relaxed on vacation...no sightseeing, no following an agenda, no stress!

Anyone thinking of travelling to Mexico should consider an all-inclusive. This was by far the most relaxed we've ever been while on vacation. Thanks to mom and dad for watching the girls while we were away!!

New Appliances Arrive!

With all of the great July 4th sales out there, we decided that it was time to invest in some new kitchen appliances. Our dishwasher was leaving dishes as dirty as they were when we first loaded them so we definitely knew it was time for a new one. We got a good deal on a matching range and to prevent separate delivery costs later down the line, we decided to buy both now.

Despite the rainy day, our appliances made it home safely. We had them installed professionally (less work for us!) so there was very little we had to do.

We've already used the range for baking cookies and warming up soup. (Yes...we don't do a lot of cooking!) The dishwasher is great--much more quiet and efficient. Plus, we know we're conserving water and energy with these newer models...an added bonus!

Fireworks and Boyz II Men!

Chris and I joined Steve, Katey, and Claire Munger at the Dublin Independence Day Celebration. Although the headliner for the event was "The Four Tops," the opening band "Boyz II Men" definitely stole the show. They did a fantastic job and brought back great memories of the early 90s. The evening was capped off by some exciting fireworks.
