We spent Easter with the Young and Kline families in Akron. We had a nice drive up on Sunday morning, arriving just in time to have a buffet lunch with both families. Jacob started to get bored as we continued to eat and talk, so I let him take some pictures.
Of course, we had to get a shot of Jacob and his dad.We had a nice time spending the afternoon talking and laughing with the family. It was great to see the kids rooting through their candy. It's amazing how fast they are growing up!!
Chris turned the big 33 this past April 5th. His present? A surprise trip to Key West. He was thoroughly confused when I pulled up to the airport and pulled out a packed suitcase. He didn't know what we were doing until we arrived at the gate. Our first stop was Ft. Lauderdale for one night.
We had a great oceanfront room with an incredible balcony that looked right out onto the beach. We were able to watch the sunrise over the Atlantic. The views were incredible!
We were also able to have a delicious breakfast delivered to our room. Eating breakfast on the balcony was a great way to begin our day. The ocean was beautiful and the sun was shining. Could you ask for a better start to Chris's birthday?
The drive to Key West was beautiful (but long-- 4 hours to get there!). Once we arrived we had the chance to see some of the local "hot spots," including the infamous "Sloppy Joes."
You can't start a tropical birthday without some tropical drinks!
